Tokenized gold
Gold tokens are not interchangeable just because the metal is the same. The claim changes with the unit, the bar standard, who holds the metal, who checks it, and whether a holder can take delivery.
A dash means the public record we checked does not say. It is not zero, and it is not a guess.
How to read a gold token
- Unit. Herculis Gold Coin is one gram. Tether Gold and Pax Gold are one fine troy ounce. AZ Gold Reserve is described as a reserve-linked asset, not as one gram or one ounce of allocated bullion.
- Redemption. Pax Gold publishes a 430-token minimum for a London Good Delivery bar. Tether Gold asks holders for a full bar, generally at least 430 tokens, with delivery in Switzerland. Herculis Gold Coin publishes physical redemption from 500 grams for KYC-verified customers. Arizore does not guarantee a redemption path for AZG.
- Custody and assurance. A named custodian and a named attestation firm belong on the card. Where the issuer leaves the firm unnamed, the cell stays blank.
